Destress and self-care workshops supporting teachers and pupils in Palestine to address conflict-related stress
Part of Ajyal’s R.I.S.E. Programme

Ajyal is supporting destress and self-care workshops for teachers and children in schools in Palestine. The workshops seek to alleviate teacher stress and increase emotional awareness and resilience. They also consist of a training component, providing self-care and well-being strategies to combat conflict-related stress that teachers can implement with themselves and use to support their students. The project will use simple yet impactful activities and resources, ensuring that the strategies are accessible and inclusive, and can continue to be implemented beyond the life of the project. This intervention seeks to improve teacher and student well-being, leading to improved teacher performance and improved educational performance and outcomes. Overall, the project seeks to contribute towards a safe and containing learning environment.
